33rd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Celebration
We are proud to support the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 33rd Anniversary. On July 26th we celebrated this important civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
Thank you to those that joined us at the Smoky Hill Museum. Most of the disability awareness poster contest designers were able to join us and share about their poster. Photos from the event are included.
Thank you to our partners – Smoky Hill Museum, Bennington State Bank, and Chick-fil-A Salina Ks for their support. And thank you to a couple of our Board members who were able to congratulate the poster contest winners. We are looking forward to next year!
